Nice ground for the Locals (Ewood Park (Blackburn))
Member Name: GeordieNick
Advantages: Good policing, Plenty of pubs Disadvantages: Can be quiet
Upon approaching Ewood Park you really do get a sense of how friendly the community is. Plenty of people using the football as an excuse to spend time with their families, or the other way round in a lot of cases! I was very impressed with the crowd control at Ewood Park. I'm an away fan and it is not always the case for away fans to be treated with the same respect as home fans by the police. But they had a brilliant system, and my uncle who supports Blackburn said it means they very rarely have any trouble. The police completely segregate the home roads and away area and if you are a Blackburn fan needing to walk through the away area, you would need a very good reason. There was a massive pub outside the away end which was packed to the rafters. Summary: Nice ground for the Blackburn fans |
