Advantages: Good policing, Plenty of pubs

Upon approaching Ewood Park you really do get a sense of how friendly the community is. Plenty of people using the football as an excuse to spend time with their families, or the other way round in a lot of cases! I was very impressed with the crowd control at Ewood Park. I'm an away fan and it is not always the case for away fans to be treated with the same respect as home fans by the police. But they had a brilliant system, and my uncle who supports Blackburn said it means they very rarely have any trouble. The police completely segregate the home roads and away area and if you are a Blackburn fan needing to walk through the away area, you would need a very good reason. There was a massive pub outside the away end which was packed to the rafters.

Once inside the ground you could tell it wasn't the best the of grounds but it does the job. The stands are a bit uneven, one of the home stands has a massive walking area between the seats and the pitch where everyone tries to bait the away fans when they score, 3 times... Currently Blackburn have had the quietest fans i've seen at a football game, there was not one section of the crowd who got behind the team, but i can sort of understand this having to watch Sam Allardyce football. Did i say football?

But overall, Blackburn is not the most glamouros place but you can see the fans enjoy going to their football club in their community which is great. Not the best stadium in the world but suitable for Blackburn Rovers.
