Falkirk Tryst Golf Club is actually in Stenhousemuir, which is about 4 miles out of Falkirk. The course is built on very sandy ground, which actually gives the turf similar characteristics to a links course, but unusually it is very flat, with only a couple of very gently sloping holes, the 16th and 17th. It is also quite short being around 5500 yards long. There are a number of good holes, the 11th is a challenging par 3 of just under 240 yards, with heavy gorse down the left and round the back of the green.
