You could take a 7 iron and just hit the ball gently about 200 yards as it rolls down very steeply. It is quite intimidating though, so you need to concentrate very hard. Gotts Park is a surprisingly well kept secret in the heart of Leeds. Set in acres of beautiful parkland, it stands between the Kirkstall Road and Armley Road area of the city, barely two miles from the centre of town. It is a council owned course, but well kept and very cheap. You can play the 18 hole course for £7.50 on weekdays, which is the best time to try as it is always quiet. Looking at the scorecard is deceptive. It is a very short 18 hole course with no par 5's, the longest par 4 being 350yards giving a total yardage of 4319 for a par of 65.
