... just noticed i could wright a review on the small town i grew up in Mildenhall in Suffolk. The population is around the 12,000 mark. This town is situated between Bury St Edmunds and Cambridge being around half hour from each and around 15 minutes from the popular Horse Racing town of Newmarket. Hall Green, Birmingham ... Green dogs is a fantastic night out, great fun, great atmosphere and you might even find that you come home with some extra money in your pocket. I have been here quite a few times now. I wouldn t say I am a regular punter but, I do love a night out at the dogs. The admission price is £6 but you can normally pick up a voucher of some sort from the local papers. For example 2 for 1 or free entry when you buy a race card. The stadium has a capacity of 3000 and you can see races on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. You can visit Hall Green in style if you wish by attending on one of the corporate packages. The Regal Sunderland Stadium ... recently went here for a work night out and I must say how cheap it was. We received free entry tickets through the post as it was a promotion that is on all month. You got free entry and pie and peas (the pie is not the best mind). This only gives you entry into the stadium though and it is the standing area. There is a first class dining at the trackside restaurant which offers tote table service which will ensure you do not miss any of the action. Stainforth, Meadow Court Stadium ... Stainforth Meddow Court dog track has been going for a good few years now and I love it. It is very popular with locals and attracts bus trips on a fri and sat night. Location - Stainforth - doncaster, just off M18 - Thorne junction. Pleanty of free parking available. Prices - There are always deals on i.e. 5 for a fiver - entry, programme, pint, bet, meal Carvery deal - 3 course meal, entry, programme for £15 Normal price is £3.50 for entry. Standard of racing - Not top notch but who cares - you can still have a bet. A7/A8 races are most common.
