Haste Hill GC, Northwood, is a more than reasonable course ideal for high-handicappers. Once past the excellent but daunting par-3 1st, the course settles down into reachable par-4s and the odd little 3. Although a bit scruffy in places, Haste Hill is generally well-kept, with well-guarded greens and generous fairways. It offers superb views and at £18 is a good weekend course. Refreshments are available from the friendly clubhouse, but parking can be a problem on busy days. Leave yourselves a good 4 hours, as although booking is available, there are a number of bottlenecks.
