Highbury is typical of most London grounds. Out of date, too small and incredibly hard to get to. Although the facilities for the players are apparently very good, the ones for the fans aren't in comaprison to those provided at Old Trafford, St. James', Stadium of Light, and the county's other top football grounds. Also the smallness of the pitch prevents the creative football that some team play, and encourages aggressive, physical games with all the players in a small area. If Arsenal to decide to build a new ground on a different site, then it can only be for the best.

There are two major disappointments about Arsenal. The first is the absurbdly high ticket prices which the Arsenal fans are obviously gulable enough to pay. The second is the atmopshere in the stadium which is maybe related to the ticket price. I'm not sure how many of Arsenal's proper supporters have been kept out by the price of the tickets. The situation is like at Chelsea where the only people who can afford the seats are people with no real intrest or commitment to football. People who won't be there to follow the club if they get relegated, people who would rather wacth the macth at home on the tv, the stand on the terraces. It's obvious when the only people who can afford your tickets are businessmen and rich little kids, that the atmosphere of the ground will degenrate form what it was. maybe the board are happy with this situation, but i know i would be unhappy if my club thought that charging anythign more than £20 for a ticket was acceptable.

hard to get to? Highbury has to be one of the easiest grounds to reach in the whole of England. It is served by great bus and tube links. Lisa
