This is the last season that fans will get to see football played at it’s purest at Highbury as the new stadium will be open for business for the start of the 2006 season. Now you might think that as a life long fan who used to live in N5 I will be sad to see the team move to a new stadium where the name has already been sold to the highest ... Read the complete review

If you’re going to Highbury to watch your team play Arsenal then unless you’re Man U or Chelsea you’ll be expecting to be outclassed for the majority of the match. If luck is on your side you may grind out a draw, a win would be the stuff of dreams but the likelihood is that you’ll not be leaving with three points. We made our journey ... I recently had the opportunity to visit Highbury the home of Arsenal FC. As a neutral supporter I must say I was impressed. I have visited quite a few football stadiums not only in England but in Europe from the old style such as Highbury and the modern type of stadium such as the Amsterdam Arena and despite it?s age, Highbury is right up there ... Arsenal have an excellent array of players at their club and if they can keep players like "Henry" and "Viera" happy at the club then they have a good chance of winning trophies in the near future. I feel with Arsene Wenger renewing his contract at Arsenal the players will have more faith in him and will be able to play to ... Read the complete review

Any Arsenal fans reading this will remember the old North Bank with sentiment - terraces, being crammed in (68,000 watching Brian McClair skying his penalty in the cup) brilliant singing ahh those were the days - or were they? When the Taylor report made clubs remove terraces and replace them with seating all football fans were in uproar ... Read the complete review

Having had the pleasure to visit Highbury on a few occasions as a visiting supporter I must say it is a stadium I do look forward to visiting. First of all you will probably never have such an easy job to find a football ground in your life. Just jump on a Piccadilly Line train heading north from the centre of London, get off at Arsenal, ... Read the complete review

Over the past few seasons Arsenal have been faced with a real problem. Highbury is selling out week-in week-out and Arsenal can find now way of raising the ground's capacity. This led to the Gunners playing their Champions League home games at Wembley. What a mistake! The past couple of years in Europe Arsenal have had superb away ... Read the complete review

Well Aresnel were already through to the next round of the champions league, and so I expected them to not play to their full potential. They were 2 up inside 10 mins with a wonderful 25 yard effort from Ray Parlour, and class finishing by Lauern. Arsenal eased back, and could have put 6 or 7 past Prauge. They had several more gears to go up, and ... Read the complete review

Highbury is typical of most London grounds. Out of date, too small and incredibly hard to get to. Although the facilities for the players are apparently very good, the ones for the fans aren't in comaprison to those provided at Old Trafford, St. James', Stadium of Light, and the county's other top football grounds. Also the ... Read the complete review

The Arsenal stadium may have the facilities of more modern stadia, nor perhaps is it large enough - but there is no question that the close atmosphere is helping Arsenal in the European matches this season. Playing Champions League matches at Wembley was all very well in theory, but the performances in the UEFA Cup on returning to Highbury proved ... Read the complete review

As a new season draws upon us, tensions are high and the Arsenal fans are sitting in the Will we /won’t we balance, once again. Yep, its fingernail-biting time, as we prepare to try and reclaim the glory of the 97/98 season. Admittedly we haven’t shown the same magic or panache as we showed in the Season we won the Double but I have a ... Read the complete review

Highbury. What can u say about the stadium that has been the home to such greats as Cliff Bastin, David O'Leary, Anders Limpar, and the ever emphatic Ian Wright. The more historic places in Highbury are the Marble Hall and The Clock End. All this is coming under much scrutiny purely because of the capcity. I am a young supporter so i ... When we think of Highbury, it is the kind of drama that occurs at the end of fever-pitch that comes to mind. Memories of the likes of Ian Wright scoring crackers on this compact, and "smaller-than-life" stadium. It is a gem, and part of English heritage. However, there are big problems... in the way that close-packed nearby residentual ... Read the complete review

Well, as an avid Arsenal fan, my memories will always be at Highbury. A classic ground, with great service, brilliant seating, a quality pitch, and especially excellent offers for members of the Junior Gunners. However - is it time to move on? The bare fact of the matter is that we need to be able to get bigger crowds watching the ... Read the complete review
