Advantages: could be one of England's best stadiums

Disadvantages: hard to justify such a massive outlay

Although Coventry rarely fill out Highfield Road as it is, and the stadium is hardly the worst in the premiership, it would nice to see the plans for a new ground come to fruition. The one thing that sets aside the Spanish and Italian league from our own is the quaility of the stadia they play in. The proposed stadium, with its 40,000 capacity, and retractable pitch and roof would be a model for other clubs with ambition. The increased capacity would bring in more money when the ground is sold out, and it would no doubt be used if England were to stage the world cup. Also, the retractable roof would allow the stadium ti be used for concerts and such like, brining in more money. Much depedns on whether the Coverntry chairman, who it is said has a model of the new stadium to impress people with, will stump up the funds for its construction. It would be nice to get rid of the old stdiums that look like they have been built form a mechano kit, and replace them with truly amazing buildings like Coventry may one day have.
