Advantages: Unique attraction,friendly staff

Disadvantages: Pricey,in need of some TLC

The Plymouth Ski Centre is one that has over the years become declining in reputation and status in Plymouth (I feel).

Location - the Ski Centre is situated two miles from the city centre and it has great easy ease to the A38 - perfect if you are travelling down visiting or passing through.

Facilities - It has a dry ski slope that can be seen from the A38, a 650 metre tobboggan run, and a smaller practice slope. It has has a resturant and ski shop.

Overall Opinion - I think this centre has become less well known over hte years - i remember going to school and having lessons here and it being alot more busy than what it is now.The prices have gone up and at this present moment I don't think people can afford £15 an hour +. When you get there and ski and use the facilities it is good, however if you are used to the feel of real snow - the artifical slope can be somewhat different!

The staff are friendly - and helpful and will ask you what level you are, whether you are beginner, intermediate or advanced - and will help you the best they can. I think if you were to learning to ski from scratch it can get quite pricey, so your heart would definitely have to be in it!

Again, this is another place in Plymouth I think needs improving, it lacks character and charm - although I think it still has a real potential - as it is the only place of this type in the south west

Summary: Great place to go if you want to do something a bit different, can be very expensive though
