Ricoh Arena (Coventry City)Newest Review: ... while us loyal fans have to put up with the sun in our eyes. Not good when you're trying to watch the game. Season tickets are reasonably priced in comparison to other teams in the league but the matchday price, for me, is driving away many of the supporters. The increases and the actual price is simply too high. Attendances have dropped quite a lot in recent years and I don't think it's ... more |

While the Ricoh is a nice looking Arena (can't use the words stadium or ground) for true football fans, it's a bit bland. It's followed the trend regarding new stadiums and has very little character. The same company built Leicester's Walkers Stadium and Derby's Pride Park. It clearly shows as the Ricoh is an example of to be frank, boring modern design. The roof is too high which can have an effect on the atmosphere as it doesn't bounce the sound back. The stands are also very steep, while this helps with seeing over the top of the person in front of view, those fans at the back can often be seen panting when they reach their seats! Regarding the seating ... Read the complete review

The Ricoh Arena is home of Coventry City Football Club, where I had a season ticket in the 07/08 season while I was at Coventry University. The stadium holds 32,609 for the football matches and the ticket prices vary depending on where you sit and who you are, adult, child, etc. For me personally, I was able to buy a student season ticket which now if I were to buy again, would cost £156 in a 'zone 3' area. There are 3 zones and a junior zone too and the prices differ depending on which zone, zone 1 is the most expensive and it works down from there. I would say that every zone and every seat has a good view of the pitch so I didn't mind sitting in zone 3 at all, it ... Read the complete review

The Ricoh Arena is the home ground of Coventry City Football Club who play their football in the English Championship (the second tier of football). It is a very new and extremely attractive stadium, built in 2005 with a capacity of 32,500. I have never actually been to the stadium myself, but I have a friend who plays for the Coventry Jets American Football team, he was fortunate enough to play at 'the Ricoh' and he said it was amazing. Like many modern stadiums it has other complexes attached to it, this has an enormous exhibition hall, a hotel, fitness club and a casino. The design of the stadium is very similar to that of Leicester City's 'Walkers Bowl.' ... Read the complete review

The Ricoh Arena is a multi-use entertainment complex in the East midlands town of Coventry. It is very close to the motorway complex and so has good transport links. Whilst it is most famous for being the home of Coventry City Football Club, there is an adjoining indoor arena and casino, and an adjacent shopping centre which amongst other shops has a Tesco and a Next. The pitch area is also used in the summer for stadium concerts. Having been to the Ricoh Arena once I can say it is a very good place to visit. Getting there by car from elsewhere in the country was very easy due to it's proximity to junction 3 of the M6, and other good road links. There is ... Read the complete review
