The Sands Centre in Carlisle is the cities main Sports and entertainment venue. Run by Carlisle leisure limited, a non profit organisation who also operate the local swimming pool, golf courses and outdoor athletics facilities. It's partners include Carlisle City Council and The NHS. Originally Built in 1984, it's not the most attractive looking venue from the outside.
