Snozone, Milton KeynesNewest Review: ... not seem to be a problem. The main problems are down to poor management. They seem unable to take justified complaints on board and take action accordingly. For instance, they do not always start on time, and then fail to start the second lift until people are queueing round the block. The person who is supposed to be at the bottom to restart the lift when it stops (which it frequently does) is usually half way up the slope on their board. etc. etc. BUT...... my son was taught there by an excellent instructor called 'Wilf' who is still there and unfailingly kind and helpful, and there are other good staff as well. I think any problems a... more |

I live near the snozone so I go quite often. It is a good facility which could be a lot better than it is. As regards poor snow conditions (mentioned in one review), when I used their skis, sometimes it made me a complete idiot- one ski or the other would almost stop! It was very disconcerting and I never quite worked out why it was so bad. I have never experienced that in the real world. Now I use my own skis with a teflon coating there does not seem to be a problem. The main problems are down to poor management. I went to Snozone for the 1st time last week and I have to say I was very impressed. After booking a ski holiday in the Italian Alps for new year I decided we should have some ski lessons prior, thus avoiding breaking our legs on the first day. I had been saving my Tesco vouchers for a while and by chance was looking through the clubcard deals brochure and saw that Snozone had been added. I converted my tokens online and booked with Snozone. My only problem was the £1.99 booking charge for booking over the phone. I was annoyed with this because I cant book using Tesco vouchers online, I had no choice other than to call. When we got there we were ... Read the complete review

We were booked to go to Xscape at Milton Keynes as part of a Christmas Pressie from my mum and as it was over a 2 hour journey we decided to make a weekend of it. I had a look on the Xscape Website and saw the SnoZone and though this looked FAB. There are various different things you can do on the Sno slope for all different capabilities and prices. There really is something for everyone! You can have Ski and snowboarding lessons, Hourly slope passes for experienced snowboarders and skiers, Tobogganing and Ice Slide. Unfortuately we were unable to get any lessons so we booked for the Ice Slide which was £14 for 30minutes. Once we got there we ... Read the complete review

At the beginning of May, I turned 30, I know it is hard to believe as I look so young, but 'tis true. I had already been to several 30th birthday parties over the last couple of years as most of my friends are the same age as me, so had been to an 80s night, cocktail party and various others, and I wanted to do something a bit different. My first idea was to hire a cottage somewhere and have a big BBQ, some booze and a couple of nights exploring a new destination, however I had numerous different budgets to cater for particular in the time of the recession, so no-one could confirm what they could afford, therefore it was difficult to find something that would ... Every Thursday morning I try to attend the ladies Ski session. This is a great session from 10:00 until 12:00. We also have break in the middle for coffee which really helps the morning fly by. I thought at first that it would be just women on this session and no-one else would be present but that's not quite the case. There are still recreational sessions going on at the same time so you don't have the slope to yourself. However what you do have is the expertise of one of the ski instructors for the whole 2 hours - so it effectively becomes a personal lesson for two hours. The instructors are excellent and really take an interest in how ... Read the complete review
