Advantages: Fantastic atmosphere, good value for money
Disadvantages: In the premiership they tend to lose quite a lot!!
Ok, so first and foremost, my review is not going to be quite as in depth or as statistical as the 1 other review for St Andrews that is currently on here!!!
As a single mother to a son who adores football in general it is important to me that when I take my little one to watch the football I feel we are both safe, surrounded by friendly people and that it is affordable.
Birmingham City ticks all the boxes.
Parking is easy, there is a big estate about a 5 minute walk from the stadium where there is always plenty of space and in a good location for leaving the area after the game.
When we go we sit in the Tilton, which is one of the areas the staunch home fans sit. Behind the goal. We are always surrounded by such friendly people, be they other families or groups of friends, everybody is just happy to see you, during the game the language can get a bit blue but it is a football match after all!!
Food and drink is a little pricy but in comparison to other stadiums it is on the cheaper side. Cup of tea is £1, burger is £2.50 - which isn't anything to grumble about.
Ticket prices can vary. An Adult is £18 and a child is £7 but Blues are very good with offers such as 'kids for a quid' or 'all tickets for £5 each' which makes a trip to the Blues an affordable day out
You can look up the deals on blues.premiumtv.co.uk
Next time your in Birmingham, give it a go, you never know - you might love it
Summary: Give it a go!
