A football stadium that is in the top 5 biggest in the country has to be brilliant, and Sunderlands Stadium of Light certainly is. Not to be confused with the stadium in Lisbon Portugal of the same name, The Stadium of Light is located in the north east of england, on the right on the River Wear, and very close to the city centre.

With a seating capacity of almost 49,000, it is one of the largest in the countr In simple terms, youeally is out of this world. In simple terms, you ally is out of this world. In simple terms, you will have to go far and wide to find a stadium that will rival the stadium of light.

The main concourse it amazing, lined with stalls, from football souviners, and food and drink outlets. The best thing about this stadium is the Black Cats Bar, where you get great views of the pitch from a stylish lounge.

You can hire the private function rooms for any occasion and I remember having my work christmas party there one year. It is particlary popular with schools around the city for the end of year prom.

You can hear the fans in the stadium on a match day from far away, and it is really excited when you are inside. More recently, famous bands including Take That and Oasis have played there, which was fabulous.

A great stadium overall, with brilliant parking facilities outside the stadium and the best public transport. You will never set lost trying to get to the stadium.
