It must be a pleasure to support your team in a studium like the Stadium of Light in Sunderland. If this stadium was not in the North of England then i think it would definetley loose some of it's appeal. Of course the stadium would be nothing without the fans inside it, and the Northern fans are the most fanatical and vocal in the country.

I found the stadium quite easily by car, but had to walk quite a long way because the car parking was all occupied. There's always a good friendly buzz around the stadium as well. It's one of those grounds where you get a shiver the first time you step into the arena and the sight hits you, and after that you are buzzing for the entire match. It's full of colour and noise and if the match gets going, or for local derbies like Newcastle United, the atmosphere can be amazing. The Stadium of Light is really smart, the exterior looks really classy- the colours used in the brick and metalwork all work really well. The interior also is very smart- it's really well kept and really clean. The scoreboards are also very state of-the-art making your match experience very pleasurable.

The shops within the stadium are good also. With big stadiums i think it is almost impossible to avoid- a) Ques, and b) Inflated Prices, but as far as football grounds go, Sunderlands are among the best i have seen. There is a souvenir shop also, selling allsorts of items just within the stadium.

I think that if you visit the Stadium of Light for a big match, you will not be dissapointed with the overall experience.
