I'm a Sunderland fan and have been all of my life, so my review here may just well be a little biased. I've previously held season tickets at the Stadium of Light and still get to matches when I can, finances permitting. When it first was named I wasn't sure at all about the name, but now think it suits the ground. Can't be as bad as ... Read the complete review

A football stadium that is in the top 5 biggest in the country has to be brilliant, and Sunderlands Stadium of Light certainly is. Not to be confused with the stadium in Lisbon Portugal of the same name, The Stadium of Light is located in the north east of england, on the right on the River Wear, and very close to the city centre. With ... Read the complete review

Introduction: The 'Stadium of Light' is the home of Sunderland Football Club who play in the English Premier League. The stadium opened in 1997 and replaced their old home 'Roker Park' where they had played for 99 years. The ground is magnificent, and with a capacity of 49,000 (all seated) is the fourth largest in English football. The ... Read the complete review

It must be a pleasure to support your team in a studium like the Stadium of Light in Sunderland. If this stadium was not in the North of England then i think it would definetley loose some of it's appeal. Of course the stadium would be nothing without the fans inside it, and the Northern fans are the most fanatical and vocal in the country. ... Read the complete review

sunderland, a shock team for the season but we all know they had the ability. And amongst teams like Leeds, they are a team they will be up there for a long yime know. With a great manager, great commited players and a great support from their satduim they have what it takes to be big and successful. They are near formidable at home and ... Read the complete review

Sunderland's recent success has brought a time of much happiness to all Sunderland fans, and the 'Black Cats' (as they're known now for some reason) are currently riding high in the top 5 of the premiership so let's all hope they make the Champions League! I believe that Sunderland's home form is superb, ... Read the complete review

Among football fans it appears that The Stadium of Light in Sunderland is now known as the new stadium to visit if you ever get the chance. Therefore when my team (Crystal Palace) landed a cup draw away to Sunderland I knew I would be going. I was concerned though as to whether or not the ground would be able to live up to my expectations. ... Read the complete review

The Stadium of Light is (in my opinion) currently the nicest football stadium in the country. I am a season-ticket holder and have been supporting The Lads for the last 15 years or so since I was old enough to go to Roker Park and see Lawrie Mackemenemy drag us down to the third division. But how times have changed. At the half-way point in ... Read the complete review

This is very obviously the best stadium in england, apart from when it has power failures. i think the fa should forget wembley and let peter (the god) Reid should become the best manager england will have with the best stadium as a garden. sunderland probably won't win the league for a couple of years but we will stay up and as long as we ... Having been a season ticket holder since the Sunderland Stadium of Light opened I feel that I have the right to write an opinion about the place. I have not been to every ground in the country but I know people who have and they believe I am right in saying that the Stadium of Light is the best ground in the country. Since the addition of 6,000 ... Read the complete review

After watching two very similar incidents, not unlike the famous Geoff Hurst story, I feel it is time for action. Ray Parlour should not have played for England, but his shot was deffinatly in, and this was repeated at the weekend, by Julio Arca at Sunderland. If all grounds could install some sort of infa-red technology, simple so it could only ... Read the complete review
