'The Heights' (not 'The Height' as in dooyoo's title) is a leisure centre located in Sandown on the Isle of Wight, which comprises a swimming pool, four squash courts, a gym / health suit, café and a crèche. As I play squash at least once a week, the courts are my primary reason to visit, although I will occasionally take a dip in the 25 metre pool. The pool itself is reasonably maintained, although the showers in the mens changing rooms are often broken, which results in a long que to get to the one working unit at popular times There is a children's pool, although I can't comment about the quality of that as I haven't been in it for about 20 years ... The Heights Leisure Centre, Sandown, Isle of Wight...... The Heights Leisure Centre is located on the main road leading into Sandown (The Broadway). It is a large building which was opened on the 25th March 1982. The leisure centre has many activities on offer all priced at a fairly reasonable rate.
