Advantages: Amazing!, Great seating areas, Freindly people
Disadvantages: NONE!!
Trent Bridge Cricket ground in Nottingham is home to Nottingham Country Team but also one of the main grounds in the country which holds Test matches and one day games with England. I have been to Trent Bridge Three times and every different time has been absolutly amzing. I love it there. The ground is massive and has a big choice of seats with the better ones being more expesnive. Ecah seat howvere offers a great view and are situated near one of the main score boards, and with test matches in view of the screens. The first time i went was to see England play India in 2002. I wasn't that in to cricket then, but this is what fully created my love for it now. I went with my Dad and sister on the last day, and the atmosphere was incrediably. There were not only the English supporters but also India's followers. I was sat on quite a rough stand, but this just added to the excitment. I also love cricket as it is so much more civilised and gentlemen like than football!! he second time i went to Trent Bridge was a year later to see England V South Africa, again this was on the last day and was probably the best time i have ever been. I don't know who remembers it but was so intense and it all lookd like South Africa were to win..then England pulled it back. I was sat right near the boundary with Harmison a few metres away, he talked to us a bit, but had to concentate lots! I also was very close to two of the greatest men ever- Flintoff, and vaugne!! I also spoke to Giles and got Mike Atherton's signiature (he was commentating on Channel 4, so was walking around) I think the cricketers like Trent Bridge as the ground is normally solid and allows them to get a good hit on the ball - i've sen some excellent sixes hit there!! The third time i went was only for a county match between Nottingham and Kent. It was only a few days after England V S.Africa. As soon as we got there we watched everyone training and chucked the
m the ball when they hit it far! The best part of this experinece was the way me and my fiend who went were somehow allowed in the Pavilion even though we were not memebers! (i like to think it was charm!!) This allowed us to talk to all the players and get tons of autographs. I also talked to Robert Key at the bar, McGill (who was soo fiendly!!) and lots more famous people! We were sat right next to the gate so the players all spoke to us when they went out and came back. The pavillion was very nice, inside the bar areas there were cricket bats everywhere and pictures. It was an amaxiong experince to be able to go in there especially to talk to the cricketers and coaches. The 'regular members' in the Pavillion were also very nice. They spoke to us like they knew us and made us feel very welcome! It also felt really good walking up the stairs to the bar, knowing my heors had been doing the same just 4 days ago! At the tea Break we also walked out of the gate where the cricketers go and were able to have a walk on the ground. It is very well kept and it felt a privellege to walk on it!! Overall i have never had a bad experince there, i love it so much and can't wait till new Zealand tour there (10june - 14), i will definietly go and know i'ii pratically be guarenteed a grat time!
