Advantages: Perfect opportunity for fans who can't get tickets to see their team play at home
Disadvantages: get used to feeling lonely
Since many club's fans have been to Villa Park for FA cup semi-finals over the years, this is mainly for the benefit of the Villa fans themselves, who's knowledge of the ground is less comprehensive. Each stand has been perfectly constructed to look completely different from the rest. The rebuilding of the main stand is in response to the Villa fan complaining that he never sees the club acheive anything. In response Doug Eliis is increasing the capacity, to enable Villa to beat the premiership record for the most empty seats at a league game. Actually finding the ground is difficult. There aren't many car patks cos Villa don't actually expect anyone to turn up. You won't find any people walking to the ground on match day, and there won't be any noise coming from the ground to help you determine it's location. By far the most impressive feature of Villa park is the choice of seats you have. All of them. In fact, the Villa board appreciate you moving at regular intervals to give the impression that there is more than just 3,000 away fans in the ground. With Villa being the biggest club in Engalnd's second largest city you would expect the loyal fans to turn out and watch their team, especially since it was only a few years ago they were in contention for winning the league. Well, to be honest, you are likely to find more people at a ceremony celebrating Frank LeBoef's services to English football. Well, in conclusion, when ever your side plays away at villa, please go and watch. They need the money. Afterall, if they can't pay the players wages, then Ginola will fail in his task to introduce shampoo to Birmingham.

- 23/06/01 very funny i can see that you think that the whole set up at Villa is a joke, its not though watch out for us next season (if gregory spends what little money he has on a class act). |

- 29/05/01 Doug Ellis himself is the reason for that stand. Decided he'd like a monument to himself, not really cos the Villa fans wanted it changed. I'm not a Villa fan but I know plenty who are and they're more loyal than many other fans. |
