Holte End (Villa Park (Aston Villa FC))

Advantages: Not a bad footballing side play there Disadvantages: Poor (no) atmosphere
I had an invitation to go see Villa vs Chelsea and as I love football I decided to go even though I support neither side. Arriving at Villa Park I realised that it is bigger than I actually thought, Sititng in the North-Stand upper it took an age to walk up to our sits, so settled down I was looking forward to a good game and a good atmosphere but there was rebuilding going on on one of the stands so any atmosphere inside the ground would disperse easily. But there was no atmosphere anyway, the Doug Ellis stand were silent, the North stand were also very queit, the stand being rebuilt had about 50 people in it so there was no noise there and the Holte End was also quiet, except from cries of Villa! Villa! from the lower tier every now and again.Although they were quiet the fans did get excited, the Holte Lower were all on their feet when Villa got the ball on the halfway line.More often than not all I could heat were cars on the M6 motorway or cries of Chelsea Chelsea from the visiting fans. I also thoguth that the ground was not very accesible and in a very run down area so I definitly don't recommend people to visit Villa Park at least until the new stand is built. Summary: |
