Wembley was a good stadium in its time. Now it is not, when compared to the French national stadium Wembley looks dreadful. England must build a national stadium that we will be proud of, like how we were proud of Wembley when it was first built. (Not that I was around then) Making Wembley only for football and then building a separate athletic stadium has made a mistake. Why couldn't we have just build one superb, huge stadium? That would have meant that we would have had something else to be proud of? Why couldn't the money spent on the dome have been put towards New Wembley? Can you imagine how much better New Wembley would have been if they had done that. Hopefully New Wembley will still be good though. A shame they could not keep the currant Wembley and turn it into a museum once New Wembley is built.
