I enjoy the horse races at Newmarket - going into the Grandstand, drinking Pimms and eating smoked salmon on a summer's evening. I have always associated greyhound racing as being a very "working class" activity, - a slightly grubby stadium with men with flat caps, whippets and overalls........yup, I'm a snob. So when a chap from our office arranged a "social outing" for staff to the Greyhound races at Yarmouth, I was less than enthusiastic. Yarmouth dog track is located next to Yarmouth horse racing track near to the A47. It is well signposted and on race nights well light up so you cant miss it. The car park consists of an area of grass just out the front of the stadium and is free. You will be guided where to park by the marshalls, and they make sure the rows arent too close to each other so you have enough room to either drive/ reverse out without too much hassle. The only issue though is the big ditch that runs along one side which does mean caution needs to be taken if you park near it as it isnt lit and you could end up going down it.
