I do a bit of running (2-3 miles a few times a week) and was looking for a pair of supportive running shoes. I'd never heard of the Asic brand until another runner mentioned them to me. Apparently they are very popular in running circles and I can see why ! The trainers are very comfortable with a cushioned sole and lightweight breathable fabric which allows circulation of air to stop feet and trainers getting too smelly! (A disadvantage of this is that if you run into a puddle they will let a little water.)The Asic range has a wide variety of options including a range of trainers with arch supports for the flat footed (medium to long distance running can cause knee and hip pain for those with flat feet). This pair have a medium level of support which I think would work well for most. Personally I have very flat feet so I wear them with custom made orthopaedics for my feet. I find it a perfect combination and no longer have any foot pain , knee or hip pain when out running. It you have very flat feet then I would suggest trying another pair from the Asic range with a higher support. In terms of looks I think its a nicely finished trainer and comes in a variety of colours. Mine are white with gold and black sections. At over seventy pounds they are relatively expensive but are worth it !
