“ Manufacturer: Asics / Type: Athletics / Running „
I enjoy going to the gym and exercising as well as playing tennis outside. I have a pair of trainers that I dedicate to running in and a regular cheaper pair that I use for the gym, tennis and taking part in classes such as Bokwa and Zumba. I bought these Asics around 18 months ago and they are still going strong now.

The trainers cost me £39.00 which is probably quite average for a pair of trainers. I bought them form DW Sports which is where I am a gym member so I got 10 % off making them a bit cheaper.
I know that Asics are a reputable brand but this is my first pair of trainers from this company. I was quite impressed with them really and find them really comfortable and stylish. Asics are always striving to make the best possible trainers for sport and constantly evaluating new technology.
My pair of trainers are a mix of white, silver and blue and mainly made from a mesh fabric with thicker sections of material that help to give the shoe its shape. There is a large spongy sole that is made from a specifically designed silicone that is good at absorbing shock and helps to give you that extra bit of agility.
This trainer comes up high enough to give support to the ankle but it does not rub or cause me discomfort. I find the trainer to be very comfortable and the inside is made from a very soft material and there are no seams that rub. The shoe is raised slightly in the middle, this encourages a natural gait. The laces are long enough to be tied in a double bow and pull the trainer in nice and tight around your foot. The trainer is designed with a rounded nose that is slightly off the ground. This design should encourage you to run or move by placing your heel down first and then lifting off with your toes. This gives you more bounce and a firmer platform to move from. This is important in fast paced games such as tennis and for running.
I like the sole as it does not slip on the smooth gym surface and even when I play tennis on a gravel court, the trainer offers residence and stops me from slipping around. The neutral colours are great as it means that the trainers can be worn with an number of different training outfits and due the large amount of grey mesh rather than white, they stay looking newer and in a better condition.
Wearing these trainers feels very natural and my feet are allowed to move as they would without shoes however they are supported and protected. The soft mesh allows my feet to breathe. There is nothing worse than having claustrophobic shoes as not only do your feet get too hot too quick, they also start to smell!
I have never washed these trainers as they stay in really good condition but I would not be afraid to throw them in the washing machine on a cool cycle. The shoe is constructed with a mixture of glue and stitching and I would consider it well made enough to take being thrown around in a washing machine.
A reliable pair of trainers that are comfortable and reasonably priced.
