      Nice and strong

I bought these laces for my husbands shoes are he is forever snapping his laces, I really don't have a clue what he does with them but he goes through the cheap ones like there's no tomorrow which of course then costs more. I bought these laces from Asda when I was doing my shopping, i'm not sure if you would get them cheaper elsewhere it was just more convienient, I was expecting they would last a bit better than the others he had been using since they are made by Kiwi who is a well known name in shoe accessories. The laces cost £4 which is quite expensive for laces compared to what he had been using but like I say he was going through the cheaper ones too quickly. Kiwi do a range of different lace sizes and you can also buy round and flat laces in the range, Kiwi are also very well known for their range of shoe care products which I have used many times and always liked the range. The laces came packaged on a mainly black cardboard backing with a plastic see through front so you could see the laces inside and see whether they would be thick enough for your usage or not, the packet isn't too hard to open by simply peeling back the plastic casing from the front of the cardboard although sometimes some of the cardboard remains. Inside the laces have a red and white paper sleeve around them holding them in place and preventing them getting tangled up. The packaging is all black, red and white in colour and shows the Kiwi logo, the packaging isn't exactly attractive but the red stands out on the black well and this is the colouring opf a lot of the Kiwi range. The laces are easy to open once you get through the plastic the paper simply rips off and then the laces are loose, the laces have a few kinks in them to begin with where they have been folded in the packaging. The laces are black in colour and have about 1cm of hard plastic covering over each end to allow you to thread them through your shoes easily and to stop the ends of the laces fraying. The laces are very easy to slip through my husbands shoes and they don't seem to knot at all and best of all these laces have lasted him months and there doesn't seem to be any breakages in them and they haven't snapped. I have been using a set of these laces in a pair of my shoes for about a year now and they are not showing any signs of fraying at all although you can see the inside is white in colour just where the laces have rubbed on my shoes that many times now. I would recommend paying more for Kiwi laces than buying cheap laces they are worth paying the extra for and last much longer although my husband still can't make them last as long as mine have.
