“ Brand: Nike / Type: Athletics / Running - Shoes „
I have had these running shoes for about 18 months now and at the time I paid £45 for them from JJB Sports however because of my gym membership I did get a 10% discount off that price.
They are an excellent mid range (in terms of price) running shoe that are very light but also provide excellent cushioning from the impact of running, I rarely run on the streets preferring to use the running machines at the gym as there is less impact on my joints and you are also less likely to trip or slip on uneven pavements. Ther is a lot of cushioning around the heel so they are a nice snug fit and very comfortable indeed, there was no need to break these in before using them in the gym, i wore them a bit around the house but that was not really necessary as they were nice and easy on my feet right from the start.
They have a good amount of grip which is riged and contoured to ensure that the shoes are stable without being too grippy so it allows for a smooth running action, I have used my shoes both indoors and out and on a number of different arobic bits of kit such as the step machine and cross trainer as well as the running machines and they have proven to be robust and providing great support as well as absorbing all the shocks on my leg joints
They are also pretty good at preventing my feet from becomming too hot and they are comfortable to work out in, I tend to limit my runs to about 5 miles maximum but I try and maintain a reasonably high pace on these runs so good running shoes are essential and these certainly fit the bill. They are beginning to show some signs of wear but in the 18 months that I have had them they have had a lot of use so given the price I still think I have got my value for money from them.
I have never had reason not to trust Nike as a brand, as every product I have purchased from Nike, has been of the very best quality. These Nike Air Vapor Quick running shoes are no different, these shoes have made me enjoy running, and that is quite an accomplishment!
I would say that these shoes are perfect for running in parks, in the streets and on solid forest ground, but you can also run on sand and asphalt, not to mention use them for inside training! The design of the shoes is perhaps not the most modern and cool, but I like them just fine anyway, because the look is classic and "safe", not too flashy! If you plan to become the next Usain Bolt, I don`t think I would recommend these shoes, as they are perfect for amateurs, but might come to fail in the eyes of a professional runner. However, my feet enjoy how light, sturdy and comfortable they are to wear, so I cannot complain one bit about the quality of these shoes.
These shoes can be bought for about 45.55, and I don`t think that to be a bad price for these! They give good support to the ankles, heels and toes, and all in all, they are comfortable to wear and make running a bit more pleasant to undertake!
When searching for some new trainers I came across these reduced to just £30 in my local sports direct store and I loved the baby pink deign of them so decided to buy them to attempt to get fit and healthy.
They look appealing enough for sports shoes not to big and bulky and feel the same while on my feet also. They are easy to put on and lace up at the front so you can efficiently decide how loose or how tight you would like to have them fastened. As soon as you put your feet in them you can tell they are comfy the sole is thick enough to make a soft surface while walking but not too chunky so that they feel heavy on your feet.
The real test is when I went for a run. They feel stable and safe on you feet weather you are going up hill down hill grass pavement or gravel the grip at the bottom of the trainers work a treat and it means that I can concentrate on my running rather than slipping or loosing balance.
. The sizes are true to size as I am a size 4 and these fitted perfectly snug and really comfy. Often on new trainers I find I need a while to get used to the way they sit on my feet but these feel right from the first time you try them on well cushioned balanced and perfect partner for a nice run.
They are very well made like all Nike clothing I have found that 8 months on and being used for exercise both at home and outside my trainers have a few scrapes and are a little discoloured but over all there is no major damage to them. I am sure they have a good few months of use in them still.
I would recommend these to anyone thinking of purchasing some new trainers for exercise as they are comfy and do the job they intended for very well. You can concentrate on getting what you need to do done with out having to worry about grip slipping or discomfort.
Recently I needed to get some new trainers, and I decided to get some that were more geared towards sport than my usual skate-style shoes, as I am attempting to take up running. By attempting I mean that so far I can jog a few minutes before huffing and puffing at a walk, and repeating. Everyone starts somewhere though, right?
Being largely restricted by budget, I ended up deciding on these Nike Air Vapour Quick 2 shoes (wow, that was a mouthful!) at around £40. Mine are white, black and red, although there is also a light blue version that I know of, and possibly others.
I have just read a lot of technical jargon about this shoe before writing the review, and honestly I didn't get too much of it. Let me translate into English. The shoes are lightweight, no clunky soles here. They are very snug. I know that running shoes are supposed to provide stability and for that need to be a bit tighter sometimes, but I found myself going half a size up from my usual, and that still took some getting used to. I'd bear that in mind if ordering online.
The soles have a "herringbone" pattern which according to the jargon claims means they would be good on a variety of surfaces. That may be, and I'm sure they have a little more grip than many trainers, but they're definitely not designed for off-road running all the same and probably lack ankle support for that purpose.
For regular road running, sports on running around a track, these are a good choice if you're not looking to pay the earth, or like me just starting out. They are very comfortable, don't need breaking in, and my feet don't get too hot due to the ventilation in the toe area. Because of this, I'm not sure how waterproof they would be, but nobody can expect miracles in that regard from trainers.
I have quite a high arch, and sometimes my feet can get sore when running or causing impact, but these are cushioned well and seem to fit my particular foot type very well.
My only slight disadvantage, despite taking a while to get used to the snug fit, is that the laces come undone very easily! They are a bit too short to double-knot easily without having to lace them so tight my circulation is cut off, but if it continues to be a problem then I can just pop in a new pair.
I have had several pairs of Nike trainers in the past and found them to last for an extremely long time. I must walk strangely because I tend to wear down the insides of my soles quite quickly, and I also rub the inside of the back of my shoes out before long. I'm expecting these to last just as long as the ones I've had previously.
If you're looking for a pair of comfy trainers that don't cost the earth for general sport or starting out in running, I recommend trying a pair of these on.
