      Not perfect but very comfortable!

I have had this pair of trainers for well over a year now and they're still going strong! I wear them most days to walk George (my dog) and I also wear them to the gym, so I have had a lot of use out of them.

They do look quite tatty and battered but they're not physically damaged and they're still completely in tact with no damage to the sole or anything. When I first got them the white was really bright but now it's discoloured from where they've got muddy and although I do give them a wipe with a wet wipe when they get dirty they don't clean up too well.

This will not matter if you're just going to wear them for the gym but for dog waking when it's muddy they're not the best trainers to wear unless you don't mind them getting a bit dirty. The laces are a little stiff and dirty looking from where mud and stuff has dried onto them but these can be changed so it isn't that much of an issue! The trainers are really comfortable and quite lightweight and the sole is thick with grips on the bottom.

The design of the trainers is not really anything special but they're nice enough for wearing casually, eg when exercising. I have the white and purple ones but they're also available in black & pink and blue and white. The slazenger logo is discreet and the overall design is very simple which I like as they do not look chavvy or make it look like I am trying to look cool or make a statement by wearing them as they are not as bright or detailed/eye catching as some brands of trainers.

The trainers are versatile enough to wear with a range of different trousers including leggings, running tights, sweatpants, cycling shorts etc. I don't wear trainers with jeans etc as I only wear them for exercise rather than fashion but if you do like wearing trainers instead of ballet pumps/heels etc then I'm sure they'll sill look nice and as I said above they are very versatile.

The trainers are made from synthetic material but they are leather coated. The inside of them is coated in a soft material which soaks up sweat so the shoes don't feel too soggy when I'm exercising and sweating like crazy. The inside of them when it does get wet doesn't take that long to dry. They're very comfortable to walk in and they support my feet and ankles rather than feeling flimsy and they stay on my feet without feeling loose or like they might slip off, and the sole is nice and thick & sturdy and it is not slippery at all because of the grips, so when I am on the exercise equipment or walking on smooth flooring I don't feel like I might slip over as they have a very good grip.

The back of the trainers is quite high compared to my other pair of trainers as the design is not dipped or curved, however the back of these trainers do not rub against my ankles, nor do they make my toes feel squashed and they are not at all narrow either, however I did find that they're on the small side length wise so instead of getting a size five which is my usual size in trainers I got a size six as even the five and a half was too tight. The fact that the trainers are available in half sizes is an advantage though in my opinion.

I wouldn't pay the full price for these trainers but for the price I paid I'm really happy with them and I think that they'll last me for at least another year! They're very sturdy, good quality and comfy, it's just a shame that they look so tatty but I have got a lot of use out of them so I can't really complain. I only paid around £15 for them which was a bargain, and the retail price is around £35. I wouldn't pay the retail price because for that amount of money I would want them to stay looking nice for longer than these have (they began looking worn after a couple of months and after a year they are very tatty looking).

Overall I recommend these trainers and I give them four out of five stars.

        Bargain trainers

I bought these Slazenger trainers as I wanted some good, comfy trainers to wear while doing general sports activities where I don't need to wear my proper running shoes, such as for playing tennis or badminton, doing aerobics and so on. I have also worn them a couple of times just casually, for walking but not playing any sport.

The trainers come in the following colours:
        Black with pink
        White with pink
        White with powder blue.

I bought them in white and powder blue. I think they look quite nice as the design is very clean and simple. It is quite a timeless looking sporty trainer, not faddy looking. One thing which slightly annoys me when I am in sport shops is that once you step into the women's department, nearly everything is pink - either bright neon pink, baby pink, a combination of the two... Personally I am not that keen on the colour pink! I find it okay, but I wouldn't choose to have pink trainers and I hate the way the sports shops try to make women's exercise stuff so pinky girly shiny fluffy! So I was very pleased to see that I could get these trainers in white and blue. Even the pink ones are more subtler than a lot of the other women's traniers I saw.

The uppers of the trainers are made from synthetic material and the stitching on it is very neat and looks well done, so I would be very surprised if the trainers started to split or come apart. They have the Slazenger logo on the side and on the tongue but not too in your face, so they do look quite neutral.

The trainers are very comfy and have not rubbed or irritated my feet at all. The sole is quite a chunky plastic with a lot of grip, reducing the chances of sliding around on the floor surface and I have not felt my feet skidding or slipping at all. My feet don't feel over heated when wearing them, as they do have some air holes on the sides, on the top near the toes. and at the back. They have a good amount of padding, making my feet feel cushioned and supported. They don't have anywhere near as much cushioning as my running shoes, so you don't have that sensation of walking on air that you sometimes get from very cushioned running shoes, but I wanted something simpler and for a general trainer I think the padding is sufficient. I can tie them tight enough round my ankles (I have narrow ankles so sometimes shoes can slip) so I feel there is enough support. The laces are quite standard white laces, but feel okay quality and do stay done up with no problem.

The sizing seems to be normal, as I wear a 6 in this which is my usual size and these trainers fit me well.

As they are white, obviously they can get a bit grubby but mine still look good as I haven't been through a really muddy field or anything in them, so I can't really comment on how easy they are to clean when they get very dirty.

You can currently get them on sale for only £11 from Sports Direct. The normal price is £34.99. I paid £15 when I bought them.

At this current reduced price I think they are a real bargain, as they are good quality trainers, which are comfy and seem well made, and they are ideal for most sports activities.
