It has now been almost 1 month since I placed my order. Money was taken immediately! After around 2 weeks of not receiving the 2 lacrosse balls that I ordered chased Zenith Lacrosse by email since there is no contact telephone number on the website. The email response was that 1 of the colours was out of stock. I replied confirming that any colour was okay. Another 2 weeks have passed still no sign of the balls. Further follow up emails have been ignored.
I had to follow-up my order having expected items (shown as in-stock) within the free delivery period of 3 to 5 working days. Reading the other reviews I called the "shop" where the chap admitted he wasn't a shop but a "1 man band". He feels that because his website says orders can take up to 3 weeks that this is acceptable trading practice. I am sorry personal matters have affected his ability to meet demands of order but I don't expect to have to chase traders. My son has been badly let down with delay in his birthday present. This is a growing sport with substantial Government funding. A seller wishing to compete in this market space needs to worry about what customers expect.
I ordered a couple of small items from Zenith 40 days ago, to this day I am still awaiting products and any kind of feedback from Zenith Sports. I have sent emails, repeatedly call their number during the times specified on their website, to no avail.
Do yourselves a favour, steer clear of this company regardless of price, the time spent chasing your order, the frustration of not getting any kind of response is not worth a half price pair of gloves, restrung stick or a single ball. It is no way to run a business. Customers are your greatest asset, without us there is no business, customer service is paramount in most businesses sadly they do not have any at Zenith Sports. I will use Prolax or Hattersley online, some things may be a little more expensive but to be honest I know I will get my items. Steer clear of Zenith Sports at all costs.
Before i bought from Zennith i had a look around the other top English sites (UKLacrosse, Hattersly) and i bought from Zennith because it had a decent product range and reasonable prices. Also it just so happened to have the exact head i wanted and no one else did. The Brine Answer.
From my teammates i heard pretty negative things about the website but generally the feedback i had was decent. Unfortunatly i had quite a poor experience with them. My equipment took almost a month to get to me and the communication i got from them was poor too. I emailed them numerous times about even getting confirmation of my equipment being shipped and they didnt respond to a lot of them, which was obviously quite frustrating. It was only after several times of asking did i get a response and even then it was quite vague (answers like "It will be shipped in a couple of days")
Overall i liked the product range and the prices were very competetive, it just everything took so long to get to me and it felt like they couldnt be bothered to answer my questions so given the choice i would have to use a different site next time, purely for the ease of it all.
If you want your kit quickly and or expect any form of customer service reply then dont bother - not until I started proceedings with Visa to re-claim the money did I get a responce.
Zenith sports is a sports website which mainly sells lacrosse and cricket equipment. I recently shopped at Zenith for the first time with my boyfriend, with him buying a new lacrosse stick and a packet of balls for me for my birthday.
One thing is that the waiting time was quoted as being 21 working days which we didnt actually realise or see until after we had placed our order. 21 working days is a long time and I have to say I was pretty dissapointed because I was excited about getting my things. Pretty soon after I placed my order they emailed me saying my things should be delivered soon because they were all in stock. 2 weeks after ordering my boyfriend thought he would get in touch because it was to be a birthday gift and we just wanted to know an estimated delivery date. He called the contact number on the website and no one answered and he also emailed them however they never got back to him which was pretty dissapointing. A few days later though a big box got delivered to my house and made me very happy indeed! OK so it was a few weeks before my birthday but I was allowed it early so I could get more practice in!
The website has a very home made sort of feel and it doesnt seem very pro, but it is fairly easy to navigate and track your orders and everything although mine was constantly on 'processing' so I dont think the tracking is updated very often.
On the Zenith website there is a really good article on how to choose a womens lacrosse stick and to be fair, there are only a few uk based laX shops and considering sticks have to conform to slightly different regulations to American ones means that buying from a UK shop is better. Also because of the size of the items and the cost, getting one shipped from the US would been expensive and then you would have to pay import tax.
The prices are pretty good, I mean, it is stuff which you can't get everywhere but I think it is competitive and worth a look-see if you are purchasing something to do with lacrosse. Shipping cost £6 but if you spend over a certain amount it becomes free which is fair I think. They also do offer discounts on balls and stuff if you order loads (like for a school or a club) whcih I think is nice.
My order came nicely packaged so it was well protected and it was deivered by one of the UPS style companies (I dont know which one because I didn't sign for it.
So basically it is a good shop which stocks some high qualty product and a good range. The website is very home made looking but who cares - it works. I would have preferred more contact with them like if they emailed us back or answered the phone but they didn't. This would put me off shopping there again or reccomending it though.
I'm happy my boyfriend bought me a lovely piece of equipment and I wa allowed it early!
