Advantages: good product offer
Disadvantages: no contact, home made website
Zenith sports is a sports website which mainly sells lacrosse and cricket equipment. I recently shopped at Zenith for the first time with my boyfriend, with him buying a new lacrosse stick and a packet of balls for me for my birthday.
One thing is that the waiting time was quoted as being 21 working days which we didnt actually realise or see until after we had placed our order. 21 working days is a long time and I have to say I was pretty dissapointed because I was excited about getting my things. Pretty soon after I placed my order they emailed me saying my things should be delivered soon because they were all in stock. 2 weeks after ordering my boyfriend thought he would get in touch because it was to be a birthday gift and we just wanted to know an estimated delivery date. He called the contact number on the website and no one answered and he also emailed them however they never got back to him which was pretty dissapointing. A few days later though a big box got delivered to my house and made me very happy indeed! OK so it was a few weeks before my birthday but I was allowed it early so I could get more practice in!
The website has a very home made sort of feel and it doesnt seem very pro, but it is fairly easy to navigate and track your orders and everything although mine was constantly on 'processing' so I dont think the tracking is updated very often.
On the Zenith website there is a really good article on how to choose a womens lacrosse stick and to be fair, there are only a few uk based laX shops and considering sticks have to conform to slightly different regulations to American ones means that buying from a UK shop is better. Also because of the size of the items and the cost, getting one shipped from the US would been expensive and then you would have to pay import tax.
The prices are pretty good, I mean, it is stuff which you can't get everywhere but I think it is competitive and worth a look-see if you are purchasing something to do with lacrosse. Shipping cost £6 but if you spend over a certain amount it becomes free which is fair I think. They also do offer discounts on balls and stuff if you order loads (like for a school or a club) whcih I think is nice.
My order came nicely packaged so it was well protected and it was deivered by one of the UPS style companies (I dont know which one because I didn't sign for it.
So basically it is a good shop which stocks some high qualty product and a good range. The website is very home made looking but who cares - it works. I would have preferred more contact with them like if they emailed us back or answered the phone but they didn't. This would put me off shopping there again or reccomending it though.
I'm happy my boyfriend bought me a lovely piece of equipment and I wa allowed it early!
Summary: Good but customer service couls have been better
