      Advantages

      Disadvantages

      Not for me!

From time to time my Mother will get really fed up at the amount of stuff all three of us eat in a week! She'll spend so much on shopping say on a Thursday and we've eaten the lot in a couple of days opposed to it lasting a week or so! We're all piglets, including my lovely Mother...don't think it's all me after-all lol.

We usually have Flora or Utterly Buttery spread but when my Mum spotted this in Aldi doing a little top up shopping she decided to get it and give it a go. At about 70p a tub it's a lot cheaper than what we normally have come through our door and she was all for cutting back and trying to make a saving!

      The Packaging:

As far as we're aware this is only available in this one size which is a 500g, bright yellow plastic, squarish and deep tub. The front and the back of the tub are the same as the lid and I'm told there that it is Summerlite Beautifully Butterfully 'Vegetable Fat Spread, 59% With Buttermilk' and I'm told the best before date and that it's suitable for Vegetarians, is Gluten free and there is an at a glance nutritional chart on there too. Other information on the tub includes ingredients, allergy advice, a full nutritional rundown chart and contact details for Aldi are given. It's a nice enough tub and it's informative enough and of course the first time you go to use it you have to pull off a foil cover which is incredibly simple to do indeed!

      The Spread Itself:

Rather a bright yellow in colour it appears creamish and it's really best stored in the fridge cos left out it does melt a little if your not careful! Easy to spread straight from the fridge though to be fair to it!

Taste wise well it lacks taste for me. I can detect a little salt but mainly it just feels greasy in the mouth and put it on/near hot/warm foods it melts to a grease really badly and becomes really drippy and them stains I can't get out of my clothes by the way! It's far too like lard for me in the taste stakes though and sadly it lacks taste and has a really greasy overtone to it. Not for me this one, I'm just not keen on it at all!

      Allergy Advice:
      Contains: Milk
