Advantages: Smooth and chocolatey.
Disadvantages: Expensive
Cadbury Milk Chocolate Spread is not an item I would ever have thought to have purchased, if it were not for my daughter. After a sleep-over at a friend's house, where she had it on toast for breakfast, she practically begged me to buy it.
This spread comes in a glass jar, with a purple/blue, plastic screw-top lid. The label has changed somewhat, from the one above. It is now mainly purple/blue, with 'Cadbury' written in large curly, white letters and 'milk chocolate spread' in small white letters. There is also a picture of soft chocolate, dripping off the end of a knife, repeated all around the label.
When you first open the jar, you smell the lovely milk chocolate and straight away your mouth starts to water. It is very soft and is scraped out easily with a knife. The chocolate spread is also very smooth and is easily spread on to bread, toast and my personal favourite, a digestive biscuit.
I really do like to put it on quite thick, so that my teeth can sink into it. This spread does taste just like a bar of Cadbury chocolate, which has been melted down and it tastes of quality. I have tried a couple of cheaper brands, but they do taste exactly that: cheap!
Biting into my chocolate topped digestive, I can taste the creamy, smooth cadbury chocolate. The flavour is surprisingly rich and it does feel as if you are eating cool, melted chocolate. I love the combination of the crunchy digestive and the soft chocolate and they work well together.
My daughter prefers to have her spread on warm toast, so that the chocolate gets warm and runny. I did have a taste of this once, but it's just too sickly for me. She also likes it on plain bread, but I just can't get my head around a chocolate sandwich and it doesn't appeal to me at all.
This is definitely not something I would have, or allow my daughter to have on a regular basis, because it is just not healthy enough. A 400g jar, will therefore last a good 6 weeks in our house, which is good, as it's quite expensive.

Cadbury Milk Chocolate Spread is available from Tesco in a 400g jar for £2.69
This is expensive when compared to Tesco's own 400g jar of chocolate spread, which costs £1 only, but the flavour and texture are far superior.
Cadbury Milk Chocolate Spread - definitely a 5 star product!
