Price-wise it is much the same cost as Hellmans, at about £1.95 for a 315g jar and keeps fresh in the fridge for a month after opening, though it doesn't last that long in our house! Plamil also make mayo without garlic too, and have other flavours such as tarragon and a chilli one, though I haven't tried those yet. I daresay you could add any flavoring of your own choice to this mayo if you wanted.

If, like me, you are allergic to eggs, finding things like mayonnaise is not easy. I tried many different brands of egg-free mayo, some of which were OK, some not so good. Then I found Plamil in my local health store and never looked back. Plamil is the closest alternative to Hellmans that I have found, and is a lovely thick mayo with an excellent flavour. I used it on salads and make sandwich-fillings with it. The addition of garlic to this particular mayo adds a lovely kick as well and is great in all kinds of savoury dishes.
