Delicious - but you can make your own for much cheaper!

'A grown up version of Nutella' is precisely what I thought when I unashamedly dipped my spoon in the jar and tasted this Cacao Brazil Nut Spread for the first time. It's extremely dark, rich and decadent, with just enough sweetness. I actually prefer the use of Brazil nuts over hazelnuts, as I think it gives it a more creamy texture. It tastes amazing on gluten free bread, or can be used in baking or making raw treats. I take 2tbsp of this, and roll it into balls with some hemp seeds and desiccated coconut. I then leave them in the fridge for an hour, and you have a delicious energy bite ready to go!

Take one look at the ingredients, and you realise that this product is as good for your body as it is for your tastebuds. Raw Brazil nuts, Agave Nectar, Raw Cacao and Hemp oil. Its practically bursting with healthy fats, fibre, protein, selenium and magnesium. It may be high in calories, but you really don't need much to get your chocolate fix, as its so rich and packed with flavour.

The only catch with this product is the price. At £4.69 for a 170g jar, it really is an occasional luxury. However, I have found that it is easy to make yourself at home (all you need is a good food processor and you're good to go!) for a third of the price. It also means I can change the sweetener and the nuts if needs be - I've experimented using macadamias and dates in place of the brazils and agave, and it worked a treat.

Unfortunately, whilst the product tastes AMAZING and I would recommend it to anyone who just hasn't got the time to make it themselves, I just can't afford to be buying it regularly. If you can, I'm slightly jealous, but I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!
