delicious filling Egg mayonnaise ,low fat and good for you.

This is a great product to buy if you don't want the hassle of boiling and chopping eggs to make your own egg mayonnaise,at only £0.69 it is cheap but definitely good quality.Sainsbury's use British eggs for this and a low fat mayonnaise mixture Best of all this rich mixture can be used in a number of ways as either an accompaniment or a meal in itself. My husband likes to eat it with salad.I prefer it in sandwiches or Rolls. It saves time and makes a quick snack just that because you don't have to wait for the mixture to cool before eating it.Most of the time this can be bought on offer where you get three for £2.00,so its good on your budget as well as your stomach. It comes in a resealable tub so if there's any left over ( never in my case) you can pop it back into the refrigerator.Great tasting and good for you what more could you ask for.

Ok for a quick bite but it can't be described as delicious!

I love eating sandwiches and one of my favourite things to have on a sandwich is egg mayonnaise but I'll be damned if I can be bothered to peel eggs and what not if I can buy it ready prepared lol. Yep I'm that lazy which is why I bought myself a pot of this the other day whilst out shopping in Sainsburys costing £1.29 a tub. The Packaging: 250g clear plastic square dumpy pot with a matching lid that you can pull off on and off with ease. It has a light green and white label that goes over said lid and to the front and the back of the tub and on the lid there is a picture of an egg sliced and I'm told it is Sainsbury's Be Good To Yourself' Reduced Fat A Healthier Option Egg Mayonnaise' and the best before date is clearly stamped on there and I'm told is Vegetarian. On the front of the tub I'm told the same thing and there is an at a glance nutritional chart on there and on the back ingredients are listed as is allergy advice, there is a full nutritional value chart on there, size is stated (as I've listed already) and I'm told how to store it and contact details for Sainsburys are given. Nice enough tub and it's informative enough. The Egg Mayonnaise: Well according to the ingredient list this is quite simply chopped hard boiled egg with a seasoned and reduced fat mayonnaise. It's light yellow in colour and a bit stodgy looking with small visible pieces of white boiled egg peeking out. It is moist and looks nice enough.....well as you'd expect an egg mayonnaise to look really with a slight but nice enough eggy aroma to it (it doesn't pong anyway lol). Taste wise well it is as moist as it looks and not as stodgy as I first thought it would be. It is eggy and it isn't rubbery and it tastes fresh enough. However for me the mayonnaise is so light it doesn't really give off a lot of flavour. It does give it a nice consistency but as for flavour for my taste-buds it isn't rich enough and doesn't taste very seasoned at all. Verdict: Ok for a quick sandwich but me, I won't be being so lazy from now on and I will be making my own! It isn't awful and makes a nice looking sarnie but it just does not alot for me sadly! It lacks flavour needs alot more seasoning to it! Allergy Advice: Contains: Milk, egg & mustard Nutritional Information Per Quarter Of A Tub: Calories: 75 Fat: 4.4g Saturated Fat: 1.4g Salt: 0.37g Totals Sugars: 0.1g Only available in Sainsburys stores.
