      Yummy!

I love a good jam but usually I am a creature of habit and opt after long thought for strawberry jam! However staying with my mate at the moment she has different tastes to me and if we run out of anything she'll nip to a shop and get what we need.

The other morning I got up and she was out. I went to grab some toast and jam and noticed a note on the empty jar which was in the pantry! She noticed I had none and gone to get me some and returned with this one! Usually I'd be unimpressed with anything but strawberry jam but that morning I was rather touched she'd got any for me at all!

      The Jar Itself:

454g glass jar with a screw on/off gold lid to the top of it. On the front of the label I am told that it is Sainsbury's Blackcurrant Jam and there is a picture of juicy looking blackcurrant's on there, an at a glance nutritional chart is displayed and I'm told that it is suitable for Vegetarians and the size is stated (as I've listed already). Other information on the back of the jar include ingredients being stated, a full nutritional chart is shown and contact details for Sainsburys are given. Nice enough jar that is of course informative enough which is normal when it comes to Sainsbury's products of course!

      The Jam Itself:

Dark purply colour and it is set when you first open it up of course. It has a fresh, naturally sweet, fruity smell to it too which is rather appetizing!

It spreads on to toast or bread with ease (that is my preferred options for jam however of course you can use it any way you desire!), and I don't find it to melt but to hold very well indeed though you do need to store this in the fridge or at room temperature it does melt slightly and in the jar and become a bit to liquidy.

You can see and taste visible blackcurrant's in this along with lots of seeds and yep it really does taste like a very high quality but incredibly sticky fruity jam! It has a fresh and tingly taste to it which is really nice and I would certainly buy this time and time again in the future as a big change!
