Sainsburys Basics Crunchy Peanut Butter
Advantages: Economical, but tasty
Disadvantages: Peanut butter conossieurs may not be impressed
Amazingly, even though this product is really cheap, what more do you need than salted peanuts mixed with butter???
We used this on our toast mainly, as that is our favourite snack, and even if are used to normal brands (like Skippy), it won't take you long to realise that this stuff is just as good, at a far lower price. It's very crunchy - lots of lovely peanuts in it, and really easy to spread.
Good value for money too. And it comes in a glass jar, which means once you have scraped every last bit of it out and given it a wash, you can re-use it! Bonus!
Give this product a go, it won't break the bank and you might just find that it does the job very nicely. If you are not totally impressed with it, then why not use it in desserts - like peanut butter squares?
I have even been guilty of taking a teaspoon loaded up and eating it just by itself - just like every other brand, it's just as sticky, gooey and lovely, and the peanuts still get stuck in your teeth!
Summary: Give it a try - basics does not mean nasty!
