... stodgy. That's because of all the mayonnaise mixed with this product, and it can sometimes overwhelm the taste of the cheese. You can taste bits of onion in this product, but the overall taste of it makes it very moreish. I can see would be a great product for people in a rush, who haven't got time to make their own-all you have to do is spread it on for a delicious sandwich. I don't think it's the best thing to make in the morning and take to work though, as the filler has quite strong smell to it. The bonus how...more

Tesco Cheese and Onion Sandwich Filler: A tasty treat (360 words)

One of my weaknesses when I want to treat myself is having sandwich fillers. I say weakness s they generally contain a lot of calories, and this Cheese and Onion one is certainly non different. The Tesco sandwich filler comes in a 200g container, and costs around £1.30. You can often get offers on multibuys for these so they are worth looking out for. The cheese and onion filler tastes very indulgent it has to be said. Its very creamy and thick, and can be quite hard to spread if you have soft bread, as its that stodgy. Cheesy calories! (260 words)

This sandwich filler comes in a re-sealable 200g plastic tub. You will pay around £1.30 for one tub and £2.50 for two tubs. The filler has a strong smell of cheese, onion and chives will hits you as soon as you open the tub. You will have to spoon this product onto your sandwiches because it is mixed together with a thick mayonaise. It does go quite a long way and because it is so strong you won't need a lot to taste it. It has a nice cheesy and onion taste to it and cheese lovers will adore this item, but for me it was a little bit too strong and slightly bland. I got a bit sick of the cheese taste by the time I'd finished ...  Read the complete review

Tesco Cheese and Onion Sandwich Filler: Cheesy and full of bad calories!! (428 words)

As you might guess, this is available at Tesco! It is a convenient ready made sandwich filler, and it will be found in the chillers cabinets. The packaging that it comes in is a 200g plastic tub sealed only by a sticky paper label with the ingredients and calorific values. Easily spotted on the shelves with its green labelling!! When you open it up you can really smell it, very strong of cheese and chives, a pungent aroma but nonetheless pleasant. It is creamy in colour as it contains mayonnaise in the mix and you can make out little shreds of cheese and very small greenish whitish onion bits. The consistency is very thick and ...  Read the complete review

Lunchtime has never been so tasty! (738 words)

Everyone in our house takes packed lunches - to school, college, work, wherever.......lunches need to be filling, they need to be healthy, and they need to be reasonably priced.....and it is very easy to buy the same old lunchbox components every week. I have to admit I am not overly adventurous in the packed lunch department. Sandwiches form the mainstay of lunchtime, and fillings comprise generally of ham, pate, cheese, and tuna.....or if we are having a "skint week", jam, marmite, and chocolate spread. Alternatively pasta and couscous dishes, make regular appearances at lunchtime (often leftovers from the previous night's meal). I ...  Read the complete review

Seeing as my family usually eat a lot of bread, sandwiches etc every day, for packed lunches or as a quick snack and instead of the usual ham or cheese I thought I'd pick up something different as I was getting a bit bored of the same meal at lunchtime each day. I saw these at Tescos, 2 tubs for £2.50, or one tub for £1.25 which I thought wasn't too bad, might aswell give it a go as they looked quite nice and turned out they definitely were! *****APPEARANCE***** The tub is quite large, 200ml, doesn't look like it will go a long way but it does! The packaging is a light green colour with nutrition information and stuff on the front, and the tub is ...  Read the complete review
