“ Brand: Tesco / Type: Jam „
When it comes to jam (and cereal) it is something that I have most mornings (though the jam not with cereal of course lol) and I do get bored of strawberry jam so when I spotted this Tesco Damson jam I thought I'd buy it simply for a change.
The glass see-through jar holds 454g of the jam and it has a black screw on/off lid to the top of it and around the jar there is a label and on that label, on the front there is a photograph of damsons and we are told that it is of course Tesco Damson Jam and there is an at a glance nutritional chart show then on the sides of the jar other information given includes ingredients and allergy advice, there is a full nutritional chart shown, the weight of the product is listed and contact details for Tesco are clearly stated. Nice enough, informative and easy enough to open and close jar this is.
This jam is really runny in consistency once you start using it so the best place to try keep this a bit more set in my opinion is in the fridge. Its a dark red colour with no real smell to it really and its slimy and fruity in taste with no seeds I can taste or see within it. It is a very sweet and smooth jam and certainly tastes naturally sweetened and fruity though I wouldn't know without being told that this is a damson jam and my boyfriend hates damson jam and I put this on some toast for him as I had nothing else in at the time and he didn't complain so in my opinion although it is sweet, juicy and fruity thats a bout it.
I don't like the consistency of this gloopy jam at all and wouldn't buy it again, it isn't vile but it really isn't that great either!
