Tesco Value Clear Honey
Advantages: tastes great, spreads smoothly, 68p
Disadvantages: hard to locate at tescos, look look look
I am a huge fan of honey and have been for years. I have had so many different kinds ranging from supermarket stores to just after coming fresh from the bees, being so familiar with honey I can say with certainty (for me anyway) that there is no better or worse honey, its more like different, whether it be thicker, runnier, sweeter, milder....etc.
I always go for the cheapest honey that is the right size for me because I don't understand how they can justify charging like £3.50-£4.00 for a jar (or squeeze bottle) of honey, I know a lot of it is the brand name on the packaging, but still lets not forget its honey, not gold.
I was looking down the aisle of tescos and when I found the tescos own honey it wasn't very easy to see, whenever I go I always have to look that little bit harder to see the tescos value clear honey which can be really annoying even when I have been there a few times.
The Packaging is a very identifiable label that is recognised as the tescos value products.
The packaging is a little different than the one dooyoo has.
The honey is contained in a glass jar which allows you to see the honey before purchase, with a screw top golden metal lid.
The main picture on the front is honey being poured onto bread/toast with the tescos logo in the top left part with a red strip that runs across the middle with the writing clear honey (in white) inside the red strip, the bottom right of the label is a little nutrition information:
Of your guideline daily amount
Each Tablespoon contains
Calories=49 Sugar=12.2g Fat=trace Saturates=trace Salt=trace
And then on the back you find the full nutrition information:
Per 100 grams contains
Of which sugars=81.0g
Fat trace of which saturates=trace
Each tablespoon typically weighs 15g
A blend of non-Ec honeys

The size is a 340gram jar of honey and the price is 68p.
Not a bad price for a jar this size.
Once you unscrew the top of the jar the scent of the honey is pretty pungent and you wouldn't expect it to be so strong, especially for this sort of price, like I said though there should be no reason to pay so much for honey when they can obviously do them for this price.
Everyone uses honey for different things like for cooking, toast, for tea...the list can go on and on but if you taste the honey on its own it is a runny smooth tasting sweet sensation that if like me, it's like a party in your mouth.
Another reason that I like honey (not that I need another reason) Is I have hay fever and was told by a friend that if I have honey on a regular basis then it can fight back the symptoms of hay fever. And I have to say having been having more than usual this year, I find it has worked, I still feel a few tinglings but it has been great for me, so there's no need for me to go and spend a fortune on those hay fever products like Claritin or Zyrtec.
I absolutely adore honey and have had it all my child and now my adult life and this jar of honey is just the honey that I know and like, its perfect for cooking because its runny and on toast it spreads amazingly, but it's not so runny that it would go through the bread, if you want to pay fro the more expensive ones your just paying for the packaging.
Summary: a great product for many things and could take away your hay fever symptoms
