Highpoint RocketRAID 1542 ... used independently, or combined to support a variety of single-disk and RAID configurations. The external channels are ideal for removable storage applications, and are designed for use with the RocketMate 1000 external disk enclosure. The two internal channels are designed to support standard disk configurations, where the hard disks are fixed into the computer chassis.

The RocketRAID 1542 provides multi level RAID support, including RAID 0, 1, 0/1, JBOD, as well as powerful software management functions. The RocketRAID 1542 Serial ATA RAID host adapter increases disk performance to 1.5Gb/s, and supports most of today's popular OS such as Windows 9x/ME/NT4.0/2000, Windows XP, Red Hat, SuSE, Turbo, Caldera Linux and FreeBSD.
