... I went for this UV finish one. I have a blue cathode in my case and thought that would have at least some effect on the finish - and it does. There is a nice glow which comes out of it. I know if I have a UV lamp inside it would have been much better. You get the usual connectors on either side of the cable which extends about 40 cms; which is more than enough to reach your drive and your motherboard.

IBM System Storage DS6800 Model 1750-522 ... the primary functionality kept on going without skipping a beat. Indeed after 2 years with our unit, I'd say you'd have to try quite hard to kill it. Also this unit comes with old fashioned IBM support, that I haven't seen with any of the other gear we have. When a DDM or Banjo fails, I get a call from IBM before I've even had a chance to notice myself, telling me the replacement should be in my inwards goods store, and sure enough it always is. There are cheaper options for outright performance in the midrange products, but if you want reliability, you couldn't go past this system. Enermax UC-106TMFA ... sleeve bearings overheat and melt -- often without even triggering fan speed alarm until after the fan is destroyed. Internal & external data/power contacts are made of cheap metal which rapidly oxidizes, causing system crashes with data loss. Service and support is non-existent, and the company website is currently offline (www.enermax.com.tw). This product is absolute trash, not even worth anything as aluminum scrap. I purchased a case of these units from another vendor, and most of them have failed within 12 months. Based on this experience, I will never buy another Enermax product again. Raidsonic ICY Box IB-351-U ... One USB or firewire cable. The case is held together by 4 gripped edge screw which you simply undo with your fingers. Once open you simply ensure the hard drive jumper is set to master and pop in your drive using the internal connection (IDE or SATA). sit in tight and screw the top back on. Plug in the powerlead at the back and also the USB or Firewire lead. Connct to PC and power supply and flick the handy on off switch on the back of the case. The Drive comes on you will notice the blue LED's flash if you have that model, Then the PC will detect new hardware. Follow the wizard and there you go all done.
