System operation is The IFT-6230 (tower) and IFT-6330 (rackmount) product lines include both SCSI-to-ATA and Fiber-to-ATA disk array subsystems all powered by Infortrend's sophisticated RAID controller technology. The product lines provide almost double of the internal bandwidth to its predecessors, the 6200 and 6300 series. With 64-bit architecture centered around a dedicated ASIC and advanced firmware functions run by the PowerPC processor, data is distributed and processed at raging speed among CPU, memory, and drives. The IFT-6230's desktop enclosure houses eight ATA drives in hot-swappable disk trays. The IFT-6330 rackmount configuration units provide eight hot-swappable trays in a standard 19-inch equipment rackmount enclosure.

The subsystem is constantly protected by redundant cooling fans and redundant power supplies. Environmental information is easily accessed via the control panel, Infortrend's RAIDGuide Manager, or the VT-100 compatible terminal emulation.
