Being made by the well know brand of Kipling you know the quality you are getting with this bag.
Kipling have been making luggage and bags from Antwerp since 1987 and sell virtually worldwide these days.
the Kipling name comes from Rudyard Kipling and monkies are found on the bags in homage to the ape in the Jungle Book story.
As with most other Kipling bags this one is very lightweight before you put anything into it. These bags come with the trademark little Kipling monkey keyring - but this can easily be removed if you prefer. Each different coloured monkey has its own name - named after one of the Kipling employees - so these are now collectable in their own right and many people try and search out one with their own name on.
The two things I especially like about this bag, apart form its lovely padded interior, is that it has a detachable long adjustable shoulder strap and also a separate zipped front packet - which is great for just carrying your phone and credit card if you are popping out or if you need to carry any leads with you. Although not designed as such this could pass as a little handbag if you wished to use it as such.
The finish on mine is 'Lacquer' which is sort of crinkled and shiny and if it needs to be cleaned it can easily be just wiped down with a slightly damp cloth.
The inside is very soft and fluffy with a sort of short black furry fabric which is also padded so your device will be well protected. It fits my Kindle quite easily and also my son's Galaxy tablet - but as so many devices come in many different sizes these days I have included the exact measurements above.
I would not want to pay £46 for this bag but when it was on offer a while ago I snapped it up as the price was almost too good to be true. I purchased mine from Amazon and it pays to keep an eye on their bags as the prices often fluctuate wildly - and also can increase within minutes - so if you see a bargain do not hesitate. Amazon sell many Kilping bags which are often very well discounted.
4 stars. Would have been 5 but expensive at full price.
