This solution provides universal connectivity to storage that is not server/platform centric and offers massive scalability by leveraging networking infrastructures. Support for Fiber Channel loop or fabric environments provides a simpler method for connecting servers to ATL's P3000 and P2000 enterprise libraries. Using this Prism Fiber Channel option avoids a need for large volumes of data to be transmitted at much slower speeds over the local area network.
