Art History in generalNewest Review: ... two and one hour long lecture for critical thinking. For the second semester we studied critical thinking again and medieval and renaissance art, with the lectures split the same. Tutorials were once a week and an hour long each, with visits to the galleries every so often. The only bad point was that the tutorials were not tied to the subjects studied in the lecture series, which was not helpful when you needed to ask questions or study the subjects in much more depth. I am currently about to start my 3rd year at the University of Edinburgh studying History of Art and I love it! As Ive had a passion for art for as long as I can remember it seemed like the perfect degree for me. Id never studied it as a subject before so wasn't sure what to actually expect, but the course has been very enjoyable so far and exceeded any expectations. For the first two years of an arts degree at Edinburgh Uni you take three different courses. For my degree it was compulsory to take History of Art and Architectural History, coupled with this I took Politics. Architectural History was a pretty interesting subject which I hadn't ...
