Advantages: Good variety of courses

Disadvantages: A very busy timetable

While at the University of Warwick I studied Computer and Business Studies so obviously I am unable to comment on any other courses. On the whole I enjoyed most of the courses that I did and the best thing about the degree is the wide range of subjects that you can choose from. In the first year the courses are mostly compulsary and concentrate on the Computing side. Most of the courses are pretty technical and there is quite a lot of maths involved. In the second and third years the choice is much wider and you can choose to weight your degree towards the Business side as I did. I enjoyed the Business side most and in the final year the only two computing courses I did were History of Computing and Current Uses of Computers in UK Business and Industry, neither of which were technical and these were almost certainly the most interesting Computing subjects that I did.

On the whole I would reccommend the course as it offers a lot of variety and not too much programming which other Computing courses seem to suffer from.

Nice job on a concise, accurate review. I am doing the same course at Warwick now, and fully agree with most of the points you raised.
