Courses in generalNewest Review: ... very difficult for me and alot of other students as they gave us broad briefs and as the tutor (Rhonda) was more illustration-minded it was very hard for those of us who wanted to do Graphics to try and specalise in this. The tutor - if I am honest was basically twee, and had terribly backward thoughts on projects. Although I understand that this has changed now and I think the whole of 2nd year ha s been re-evaluated following complaints. I completed my 4 year degree in Graphic Design at the Glasgow School of Art last year. My advice for anyone choosing this course (or indeed Product Design, Architecture and any other design based course) - this is NOT the easy option. But it can be very rewarding. You start in you 1st year by having to choose a broad range course in Fine Art - about 3 different choices, or Design - graphics, illustration and photography was the broad spectrum I began in. First year in the Art School was not really that useful and I found alot of the projects insultingly basic (like 3rd year at school).
