Im studying Marine Biology at the Scarborough campus, of hull university. I have been interested in this course since i was eight years old and helped rescue some sperm whales in St. Petersburgh Beach, Florida. Ive finally got to fullfill my dreams and after slogging hard through my A-levels in geography, biology, chemistry and general studies i secured a place on the course. So whats it like? Welll so far to be deadly honest the course is really quite easy and not like i expected, but contrary to popular belief we dont get to play with our bucket and spades on the beach all day. At the moment we are doing three modules in ecology, chemistry and environmental systems. They are more or less foundation lessons but are still enjoyable in fact im lying they are quite boring but hey with the good comes the bad!!! We do get to go on the beach and so some practicals which are always fun but very cold!!! In summary my life so far in scarborough is great and there are some very nice lads(or girls if your male!!) and i think scarborough with its scenic views, history and the sea is an ideal place to study marine biology.
