I studied Town Planning at the University of Sheffield, which was voted the best university by the Virgin Guide. The town planning department also has a 5 rating for research and got 23 out of 24 for its teaching quality.
The course is accredited by the Royal Town Planning Institute which means that you don't get a lot of choice with modules, the subject is pretty diverse. If you enrol as an undergraduate, it's a 4 year course which includes a postgraduate diploma.

* Urban Theory
* Values and Ethics
* Social geography
* Moral theory
* Public Participation
* Geographic information systems
and of course Introduction to the British Planning system.
