Undergraduate Courses At University of Newcastle in general ... University is well respected, as a member of the red brick traditional school of universities it also offers a very wide range of courses. These tend to run along more traditional lines, such as engineering, medicine, maths, geography and english, rather than drama, sports science, computing and the like. In fact considering Newcastle is so strong on most courses, it has been suprisingly slow to develop a computing department, and lags behind Teesside in the North East as the top provider of these types of subject. You always need to be careful as you need to choose the right course in order to carry your education further.You need to make sure when choosing the right course about what will happen after it. Most of us will choose a course and not know what happens after it. I think the best way would be to choose a course which later on offers training to which makes it easier for those wanting to work in their chosen sector after finishing university. Courses in General ... is very important when deciding upon which university course to undertake that you do as much research as possible as if you are taking a full time course then the subject and the destination you choose are going to be your home for the next few years especially if you study away from home. The course choice is the first priority, some people have a set career that they wat to pursue and therefore the decision over what course to study is an easy one as if you want to be a doctor or a vet then your choice is effectively made for you.
